The aim of this course is to make managers aware of their health & safety responsibilities as outilined in Section 80 of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005.
Course Aims and Objectives:
On completion of this course the learners will be able to:-
- Recognise their responsibilities with regard to health and safety in the workplace.
- Understand the importance of communication between managers & employees.
- Appreciate the importance of having an up-to-date Safety Statement & Risk Assessments.
- Complete an accident investigation & report.

- Any other health & safety legislation relating to your business.
- Managing health & safety in the workplace.
- Accident reporting and investigation.
- Consultation with other staff members.

- Classroom based power-point presentation.
- There will also be course handouts on accident investigation & communicaiton exercises.
