Course Aims and Abjectives:
This course aims to equip learners with the understanding of the importance of safety while operating a Ride On Roller while at work.
On completion of this course, learners will;
- Be aware of the employer’s responsibilities under the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005
- Understand the rolling techniques including the principles of compaction
- Be able to safely operate a Ride On Roller
- Certificate of Competence will be issued to all learners who successfully complete & pass this course
Course Programme:
- Health & Safety Legislation & Regulations
- Discuss the role of the employer & employee in terms of Health & Safety in the Workplace
- Safe Use & Operation of the Ride On Roller
- Preparing an area for compaction
- Pre-Use Inspection
- Overhead & Underground Conditions
Training Methods:
Classroom based power-point presentation with learners gaining some practical experience operating a Ride On Roller under the supervision & direction of our highly experienced instructor.

This course is designed for those employees who operate a Ride On Roller as part of their normal duties.
Additional Information:
- Maximum of 4 learners
- 3 to 4 hours
- Learners must bring with them their own Personal Protective Equipment. (i.e. Safety harness & lanyard, helmet, high visibility jacket & safety footwear)
